Kat Bonny is a Songstress, Improv Vocalist and multi-instrumentalist exploring genres spanning from piano jazz, folk blues, world music, shamanic folk fusion and meditative sound bath experiences. A universal foreigner born in France, grown in five different countries and currently rooted in London, UK.

 

Crafting lyrics and poems unapologetically exploring the authentic depths of the average tortured psyche yet steeped in unshakably loving perspectives, she channels performances and atmospheres steeped in the ecstatic grief and excruciating beauty of the human condition, telling tales of despair and delusion, followed by accidental self-empowerments and spiritual epiphanies, weaving phantasmagoric worlds to wrap yourself into whilst throwing baffled glances at modern society's expectations.

 

Her Vocal Improvisation Workshops are also powerful voice activation singing circles, creating and holding space to explore and find the power of our own voice, not only to unleash our creativity and self-confidence, but to somatically reconnect to ourselves, each other and our sense of the divine, regulating our nervous system and expressing our authentic self.

 

Her ongoing healing journey from chronic pain and complex trauma, as well as her experience with shamanic trance states deeply informs her work, exploring how voice, breath, sound and vibration affect our states of consciousness, the regulation of our nervous systems and the wiring of our brains.
